This treatment involves the use of a handheld laser device which emits a concentrated beam of light which creates heat and destroys the hair follicles, thus preventing further hair growth in the upper lip area.
During your initial consultation, we will evaluate your skin type and hair colour to determine the best type of laser and settings to use.
Then before the procedure, the upper lip area will be cleaned and an anaesthetic cream will be applied to minimise discomfort and you will be asked to wear protective eyewear to protect your eyes from the laser.
Our laser technicians will hold the device against the skin and activate the laser. You may feel a slight stinging or snapping sensation as the laser is activated, but this should be minimal. The entire procedure typically takes only a few minutes.
